Office Of Energy Efficiency and Renewable Energy (EERE)
The Clean Cities Program aims to advance national economic, environmental
and energy security by supporting local decisions to adopt practices
that contribute to the reduction of petroleum consumption in the
transportation sector.
BioMass Program
The Biomass Program provides funding through grants; conducts joint
solicitations with the U.S. Department of Agriculture as part of
the Biomass Research and Development Initiative.
Office of Fossil Energy (OFE)

Inventions and Innovation (I&I) Program
The I&I program provides grants to independent inventors and
small companies with sound ideas for energy efficiency technologies.
Provides grantees with additional resources such as training, market

Freedom Car and Vehicle Technologies Program (FCVTP)
The U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) Office of Energy Efficiency and
Renewable Energy (EERE) provides funding opportunities for advanced
vehicle technology projects that are aimed at removing technical
and cost barriers. Much of the funding available to the FreedomCAR
and Vehicle Technologies Program is distributed to private firms,
educational institutions, nonprofit organizations, state and local
governments, Native American organizations, and individuals through
competitive solicitations.
